Biography

I’m Gordon—a photographer based in London, originally from a quiet corner of the South West of England, where I first picked up a camera with more curiosity than clue. What started as a way to escape small-town boredom quickly evolved into a lifelong pursuit: to explore the world, meet people from all walks of life, and tell stories through light, composition, and instinct.

I studied photography at University College Falmouth, where I was lucky enough to be surrounded by both inspiring peers and the echoes of legendary image-makers who came before. Their work lit a fire in me that still burns bright—a deep respect for the craft, the patience it demands, and the stories it can tell when words fall short.

Since moving to London over a decade ago, I’ve split my time between personal projects and high-level assisting across advertising, fashion, and lifestyle. My own work leans toward documentary, portrait, and travel photography, often blurring the lines between them. Whether I’m photographing a windswept stranger on a roadside in Mexico or catching a quiet moment on a London street, I’m drawn to the beauty in everyday life—the unpolished, the honest, the human.

Photography has taken me across continents, into unfamiliar cities, along dusty roads and on chicken busses and late-night trains. It’s shown me that adventure doesn’t always look like a postcard—and that even the smallest moments can hold a world of meaning.

I’m always open to commissions and collaborations—whether you’re nearby or somewhere I’ve never been (yet).
