“I Think I Had A Dream”

Trevern is a 40 bed care home for people with Dementia and other nursing needs. “I Think I Had A Dream” is a short photo essay that attempts to be a sensitive, visual exploration of life within the home.

In the UK 1 in 6 people over the age of 80 have dementia and 70 per cent of people in care homes have dementia or severe memory problems.  Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia, affecting between 50 and 75 per cent of those diagnosed. There are currently around 850,000 people with dementia in the UK. This is projected to rise to 1.6 million by 2040.
